Meet David Sneed
Founder & Culinary Creative
For David Sneed, food has always been more than a meal — it’s a passion, a calling, and now, a third career. In his younger years, David crisscrossed the country working in a variety of restaurants, ultimately apprenticing under a French chef in Texas. A Divine twist of fate brought him to Frederick, Maryland, where, throughout the 1990s, he sharpened his skills in many of downtown’s most beloved kitchens, mastering a wide range of cuisines.
The Corporate Pivot
But when the late nights and weekends interfered with family life, David made a bold pivot into the tech world, joining one of the dot-com era’s biggest innovators — UUNet. For over two decades, he navigated the turbulent burst of the dot-com bubble, helping lay the foundation for the internet backbone we all rely on today. His career also spanned healthcare and insurance services, where his analytic skills shone — but his heart never left the kitchen.
A Return to the Kitchen
At home, David was always the one behind the stove, blending culinary traditions with his own inventive flair. (His wife likes to proudly say that she doesn’t even feed the dog!) So, when Providence stepped in again — this time in the form of a department layoff — David asked God what was next. The answer was clear: return to what makes him come alive.
The Birth of Pantastic Catering
Today, David brings together his sharp analytical mind and lifelong culinary passion in Pantastic Catering, delivering fresh, made-to-order meals with creativity, precision, and heart. When he’s not planning menus or perfecting flavor combinations, you’ll find him applying his strategic thinking to poker and Fantasy Football — but his truest joy is still found in a hot pan, a fresh ingredient, and a happy guest.
